Intricate geometry, viewing angles, and color temperature were important considerations when illuminating this 50 million year-old fossil of a sea lily. Mounting height in relationship to a ceiling soffit dictated the use of a custom designed monopoint accent fixture and dual color temperature sources where used to emphasize the color and texture of the piece. Existing recessed fixtures where retrofitted with adjustable low-volt sources for highlighting additional pieces in the fossil collection.
