Situated on a hilltop overlooking Puget Sound, this 12,500sq/ft traditional residence for local couple became a testament to the way we perceive our lighted environments. Classically stated and wonderfully detailed with exceptional finishes and a gambit of color, this residence was more about the way light plays off the finished surfaces than about direct and unbridled light. The 30 foot high entry foyer with a domed ceiling complete with a painted illusion to accentuate depth was lit with a custom curved dimmable source. Throughout the residence, wall sconces, ceiling pendants, and directional art accents are combined seamlessly for a multi-layered effect. In the living room, an antique curio cabinet was completely transformed into a mini-museum for the owners small sculpture collection.
